Alvo's core is licensed under Apache-2.0, and stays free and open source.

Alvo is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. The license has been in the repository since the first line of code, and it covers every MMLib.Alvo.* package in it.

The open-core model

  • The core is and will remain free and open source under Apache-2.0.
  • Only enterprise add-ons and optional hosting may be commercial. Add-ons would ship as separate packages, under the name Alvo.Enterprise.*.
  • Later commercialisation means adding add-ons, never relicensing the core.
